In the crowded Canadian beer category, there was a misconception that Sapporo was something to only being enjoyed with sushi or other Japanese foods. We wanted to show beer drinkers that Sapporo paired perfectly with any meal by highlighting the remarkable things that happen when East meets West. To accompany our hero campaign, we crafted a special collection of coasters to be distributed at local bars and restaurants. These coasters showcased and celebrated common words that draw inspiration from the East yet resonate deeply in the West, inspiring drinkers to pair their meal with the unexpected: a refreshing glass of Sapporo.
